Region development was discussed at the Dukovany Chateau


Minister of Industry and Trade Karel Havlíček met here with important companies in the field of nuclear energy

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade and Transport Karel Havlíček visited Dukovany on Thursday 27 August. By the invitation of the Energetické Třebíčsko association, he came to discuss the preparation of the new nuclear unit build in Dukovany. Members and guests of the association, representatives of CEZ and its subsidiary Dukovany II's management, and representatives of the region's government attended the meeting.

The tender for the supplier of the new unit of the Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant will start at the end of this year and will be completed at the turn of 2022 and 2023. Nuclear projects of five potential suppliers of world-renowned names are at stake. Deputy Prime Minister assured those present that the government would not exclude any of the candidates before the selection procedure and would consider both economic and security criteria in the selection. The build of a new unit at Dukovany NPP will bring interesting projects for the Czech suppliers and many opportunities for the region development.
