Emission monitoring system for Khmelnitsky NPP was tested

One more project for RAW reprocessing in Ukraine is nearing completion

Tests of equipment for radiation and chemical monitoring of emissions, which will be delivered to the solid radioactive waste incinerator facility at the Khmelnitsky Nuclear Power Plant, have been successfully completed in NUVIA. Factory acceptance tests took place in our Manufacturing and Development Centre in the industrial zone in Třebíč, with the participation of our customers from the German NUKEM. Representatives of the end user from Ukraine had to be satisfied with video and photo documentation of the course of the tests, as they still do not have a chance to travel due to anti-corona measures.

The emissions monitoring system will soon be delivered to the Khmelnitsky NPP and thus complete the cementation line for solidification of liquid radioactive waste, which NUVIA delivered to the mentioned complex at the end of last year. The complex of radioactive waste reprocessing at the Khmelnitsky NPP will be put into operation by the end of next year and aims to significantly reduce the amount of RAW and increase nuclear and radiation safety.
