We are celebrating 65 years of the Czech nuclear industry and 35 years of the Dukovany NPP operation

The atominfo portal also mentioned the Czech NUVIA

This year marks the 65th anniversary of the nuclear industry in the Czech Republic. An Agreement on Cooperation in the Peaceful Uses of Nuclear Power was signed between the former Czechoslovakia and the then Soviet Union in 1955. In the same year, the Czechoslovak government established the Institute of Nuclear Research in Řež, the Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague began training nuclear engineers, and the Czech engineering and industrial companies began manufacturing components and systems of nuclear power units.

The first nuclear unit at Dukovany power plant was put into operation in 1985. The information portal Atominfo.cz devotes a special series to memories of the beginnings of Dukovany NPP in our region and hopes for its successful future.
