NUVIA has visited Barakah Nuclear Power Plant

NUVIA representatives have visited the newly built Barakah Nuclear Power Plant in the United Arab Emirates in recent weeks. Barakah is a project of the Korean energy company KHNP, which is also one of the main candidates for the construction of new units at the Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant in the Czech Republic. KHNP started here with the construction of four APR 1400 reactor units in 2011 and the planned phasing-in will begin next year. NUVIA, as a registered company on the official list of KHNP suppliers, is well known to this company and this opportunity has only strengthened our long-term good business relationship.

NUVIA representatives had a unique opportunity to look closely at the technology used by this world's leading supplier of nuclear units and also to meet with its representatives, including top managers  who are responsible for the whole project. During the meeting the possible future cooperation between NUVIA and KHNP was discussed, either directly on the project in the United Arab Emirates or on possible future construction in the Czech Republic. NUVIA presented some selected systems and projects that could help to successfully complete this construction. These include the radioactive waste measurement system at a nuclear power plant or the radiation monitoring system - the Early Warning Network, which NUVIA has successfully supplied to several countries, including the Czech Republic.
